AI Toybox Studio

AI Toybox Studio is an interactive installation built for RIT's Creative Collision 2025 event. Users are invited to build a physical composition, which is then photographed and reimagined through Sogni AI using a series of themed filters.

This experience explores the possibilities that emerge when a user’s physical creation meets an AI’s interpretation, inviting participants to see the different unexpected and imaginative ways their creation can be transformed.

Development

Running on a touchscreen TV, the digital interface was a locally-hosted web app built with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Users could select a camera, view a live composition feed, and choose between three filters: Castle, House, or Organic Structure. Hitting the capture button produced four iterations of the transformed composition through the chosen filter.
